Markus Brier
is one of Austria’s two highest ranked players of all time with six professional and two amateur wins. He won the Swiss and German Amateur Opens and has nine top ten finishes, including five top threes, on the 1999 Challenge Tour. Markus won the Austrian Open twice during its period on the Challenge Tour. In its first year back on the European Tour, Markus won the title again, becoming the first Austrian golfer to win a European Tour event, winning again in 2007 at the Volvo China Open. Markus was tied 12th at The Open in 2007, where he was also featured in the top 100 of the Official World Golf Rankings. He represented Austria at the World Cup twice, and continental Europe at the Seve Trophy in 2007. He will start competing on the Staysure European Senior Tour in July 2018 at Bad Ragaz. Markus lives with his family in Vienna, Austria.
