With average temperatures around 20 degrees, our venue offers a par 72, 6 694 meter, 18 hole championship golf course designed by golfing legend Hugh Baiocchi. Tee off for the women of South Africa and the women of the world and support our Grid of Light spreading awareness on solutions to eliminate violent crime that can be implemented around the world.
South Africa is a country with one of the highest crime rates in the world. While the tourist hotspots, gated communities and estates are secured, the rural areas, townships and vast farms are increasingly falling victim to violent crimes; rape, torture and murder with the numbers on the rise. The women are hit hardest, especially since the introduction of lockdown, with unemployment, poverty and mental health issues peaking, the cases of domestic violence are even higher. As safe houses and helplines around the world were overwhelmed by emergency calls, the plead for legal and policy changes got louder. Many of the crimes remain unsolved and the criminals unpunished, leaving the victims and their communities feeling helpless, vulnerable and abandoned. And, just as important is to encourage those consumed by fear, trauma, addiction and rage to seek help before it's too late. The cycle of despair and violence must be broken at its core. Let's raise our voices and make that difference! PLeace Golf Africa !
