Miss Lira
Lerato Molapo is a multi-platinum selling and an 11-times South African Music Award-winning South African singer and one of the coaches of “The Voice South Africa”. At the famous FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Concert Lira performed the international Miriam Makeba Hit song Pata Pata in a line up of artists that included Alicia Keys, Shakira, K'Naan and John Legend. She was selected later that year to take part in the 92nd birthday celebration of former South African president Nelson Mandela and starred opposite Giuliana de Sio, Edwin Angless and Anna Galiena in the drama The Italian Consul, a film on the trafficking of girls in Europe. Lira is currently considered the foremost adult contemporary female solo artist in South Africa and has appeared on the covers of more than 30 magazines worldwide. Lira is an active supporter of many charities and causes and has received awards from various grassroots organizations, outreach groups. She has also participated in numerous activities for The Southern Africa Trust. The Student Sponsorship Program presented her with the Inspiration Award in 2011. Lira speaks four languages and lives in Johannesburg.
